Community at Heart
When I heard my name called for Community Impact Business of the Year and Biz Women Community Champion, I felt a wave of disbelief, pride and deep gratitude all at once. In that moment, I wasn’t just thinking about this milestone—I was reflecting on the journey that has brought me here and the recognition I’ve been fortunate to receive along the way.
Being named Business Person of the Year at the Tameside Business Awards was a defining moment for me. It gave me a sense of belief and validation that the work I was pouring my heart into was making a real difference. Since then, I’ve continued to grow, learn, and push myself, and along the way I’ve been incredibly proud to see the wider work I’m part of also recognised through multiple awards since 2021. Each one represents dedication, resilience, and a shared commitment to doing things the right way.
For me, awards have never been about the spotlight, they have been about impact. They have been a reminder that showing up consistently, leading with compassion, and staying true to my values truly matters.
This recognition feels deeply personal. It reflects the values I carry with me every day: showing up with empathy, leading with integrity and always striving to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
From the beginning, my mission has been clear—to create impact that goes beyond expectation. I believe in building genuine connections, supporting people in meaningful ways and being present when it matters most. Everything I do is grounded in purpose.
Winning these awards has given me a moment to pause and reflect. Life moves quickly and it’s easy to focus on what’s next, but this recognition has reminded me to acknowledge how far I’ve come. It has reinforced my belief that small, consistent actions, done with heart, can create real change.
Being named a community champion means so much to me. Giving back has never been an obligation; it’s something I genuinely care about. I’m passionate about uplifting others, creating opportunities and using my voice to make a positive difference wherever I can.
