Supporting Willow Wood Hospice: My Charity Journey

Supporting Willow Wood Hospice has been a cause very close to my heart and over the years I’ve been proud to contribute in a number of ways to help the incredible work they do in our community.

My journey began in 2021 when I took part in a firewalk challenge, something completely outside my comfort zone. Walking barefoot over hot coals was both nerve-wracking and empowering, but knowing it was all for Willow Wood Hospice gave me the courage to take that step (literally!). It was an unforgettable experience and a powerful way to raise funds and awareness.

Since then, I’ve continued to support the hospice through ongoing donations. While they may seem like small contributions at times, I know that every bit helps to ensure patients and families receive the compassionate care they deserve. Being able to give regularly feels like a meaningful way to stay connected to the cause.

One of my favourite annual efforts is contributing to the Creme Egg appeal for their Bunny Hop fundraiser. It’s a fun and light-hearted way to get involved, and it’s always amazing to see the community come together. Whether it’s donating chocolate eggs or helping spread the word, it’s a small gesture that brings a lot of joy while supporting such an important service.

What makes Willow Wood Hospice so special is the impact they have on people’s lives. Knowing that my efforts—whether big or small—help support that care is incredibly rewarding.

I’m grateful to play even a small part in supporting such a vital charity, and I look forward to continuing this journey in the years to come.
